How do I practice?

Therapeutic approaches

Tailored to fit you best, including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Compassion Focused Therapy (CFT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Eye Movement Desensitisation and Re-Programming (EMDR), Mindfulness, and psychoeducation.

Informed by Research and Lived Experience

Inspired by the work of many professionals, such as Ross Greene (kids do well *if * they can!), Mona Delahooke, the Yellow Ladybugs, Reframing Autism, Autism LevelUP, and many more. I am committed to continuous learning and growth.

I want you to feel safe and valued

This means that I am *all about* accommodations. In *real life* this looks like a clinic that can cater to most sensory and communication needs. I also *love* sharing interests and incorporating this in our work wherever we can.

Tell me about the Connect Us Psychology clinic space

✓   I don’t use *the big light* – lamps all the way!

✓   I have all.of.the.fidgets! Just *so* many!

✓   I have a squishy mat and squishmallows, along with loads of soft blankets.

✓   Shoes are optional. Comfort comes first!

✓   I have a *very quiet* dyson fan, air conditioning, and a heater – so we can make the temperature *just right*.

✓   I have a weighted blanket you are welcome to use.

✓   I have a range of seating options (e.g., chairs, lounge, beanbag, floor cushions).

✓   I have various items you can use during your session – such as kinetic sand, Lego, Loom Bands, puzzles, Uno, board games, and drawing materials.

✓   I have all.of.the.books! Again, just *so* many!

✓   I have tea and coffee – you are welcome to help yourself.

✓   There is an accessible bathroom nearby. The room is also accessible (and I can work with you to make it easier if needed).

✓   There is access to free on-street parking (reverse angle). There are also some nose-in (i.e., perpendicular) car parks nearby if you prefer these.
